The brand Frighetto was protagonist of two selections at the "Compasso d'Oro": the XIV edition in1987 with the modular "Vela" bookcase and the XIX edition in 2001 with "Bilbao" wardrobe. The "Compasso d'Oro ADI" award is the first and the most authoritative European one in its sector, founded in 1954. Derived from an idea by Giò Ponti and by will of "La Rinascente" big stores, it has the aim to emphasize the Italian design quality. Since 1964 it has been managed exclusively by ADI (Industrial Design Association).
